Marler's 3¢ Brown Type 6A

On page 485, Marler provides the identification details for his type 6A as "The vertical line in the upper left and lower left and part of the oval line between the left crown and leaf 4 in the lower left have been retouched".

Previous to the analysis of Marler's personal collection, it was possible to plate only a handful of the 260 plate positions of Type 6A. Now we are able to offer likely positions for over 100. It is possible that a study of the few available multiples may add to this total.
