Advanced Search Introducton
The path to the Advanced Search feature
is found in the upper menu bar.
Click on the "Advanced Search" link
to activate the Advanced Search Features
A 2¢ Carmine Re-entry Search
From the pull down menus select:
2¢ Carmine under Denomination,
Sheet under Format,
and Re-entry under CPV type.
As we had noticed doubling "In and below the CA"
so we enter that in the search field.
and we only have 3 stamps to consider
A single position is found.
Each of the 3 records can be
searched in turn.
A window will open on the page,
leaving your search intact.
A more Refined Search
A search with multiple options:
Let's modify the search criteria.
From the pull down menus select:
1¢ Green under Denomination,
Sheet under Format,
"Marler Type O6" under Marler Type,
and Re-entry under CPV type.
Finally, enter "doubling of the bottom"
in the search field.
Several highlighted possibilities are now indicated
Zone Search
Partiality Implemented...
The "Zone Search" is an experimental search feature. When fully implemented, it should facilitate searches based on the location of the CPV on the stamp.
Access is via the "Zone Search" button at the Upper Left of the Advanced Search page. A link to a detailed explaination of the "Zone" system works is provided.
Remember: this is not completely implemented with the full data base of images and descriptions.
